I have just purchased a Dell Inspiron Notebook that has XPHome as the
OS. My desktop has Windows 2000 Pro as the OS. I have set both
computers up in a "Workgroup" named MS Home. I'm unable to map the
drives of these computers to one another. Can someone help me with
instructions on how to do this? Thanks!

The fact that one computer is running XP Home, and the other Windows 2000,
creates some complications. There are other issues, though, which are also
likely causes of your problem, which is seen here a lot. One of the most common
causes would be a misconfigured or overlooked personal firewall, or other
security component. There are several other possibilities too, and any might be
the cause of your problem. Read this article with an open mind.

With all issues listed in the above article resolved, activate the Guest
account, on both computers, for network access.
