I have a small office with 7 users. 3 of those users have
laptops that are also there pesonal computers. 1 of the
users is always a remote user via a vpn. the other users
are stationary with in the office. All users are running
windows/outlook/office xp/2003. The office has a small HP
file server. We are looking for a way to have a central
calendar, contact and possibly tasks. The thought of
implenting an exchange server is a little scary for 7
users. Does anybody have any suggestions? The server is
either running Windows Server 2000 or 2003 I am not sure
and will find out tomarrow. What about Microsoft
Sharepoint? How does one implement that? and will it work
over a VPN? Thank you in advance!

Thank you,
Peter Stackhouse

Exchange for 7 users isn't out of the question - I've seen very heavy
Exchange use in offices smaller than yours. The fact that you have remote
users makes this even more complicated. Sharepoint won't help... have you
looked at SBS2003?

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/share.htm if you don't think you can
swing Exchange.
