Sharing a drive through the firewall?

What settings do I have to change to be able to share the C: drive of
an XP Pro machine on the local network with the firewall enabled?

In Win2k I can restrict access to a shared drive to specific users or
groups. That option does not appear on the file shareing dialog in XP.
Is there a way to restrict access to the share?

XP Pro has the same access control features as Win2k when you disable
simple file sharing. This web site has full details:

Windows XP Professional File Sharing

XP's Internet Connection Firewall was designed for use only on a
direct modem connection to the Internet. If the network's Internet
connection is firewalled (e.g. a broadband router or ICS host), the
simplest solution is to disable ICF on the local area network
connections.

If you want to share files on a LAN with ICF enabled, open the
following ports: TCP 139, TCP 445, UDP 137, UDP 138.
