I have a peer to peer setup with 6 computers one of which is being the
Share with XP Pro.
3 of the users i do not want to have access to the share.
Under microsofts web site it explains how to change the share accesses
from the "simple shareing" to the more advanced.
I have changed to the advanced shareing. Under the permissions it has
"everyone" to use.. after deleteing this and adding the local user the
local user can access it... but the other 5 can not..
Under the "Permissions" or "securities" you can enter in users and
check the name. Unfortunate under "location" it only mentions the
local computer and if you try to change the location it does not see
any other locations of the other computers.
Trying to add a user of "bob@workstation1" does not work because it
specifis a domain.
Is there a way to specify another user from other workstations to
limit 3 people haveing access.. and 3 people not?
The goal is to have a share on one computer that 2 more can access but
limit the avalibility to the other 3 (ie: denigh access)
