At my home, I have a desktop pc running Windows XP Home and a notebook
computer running Windows ME. A HP printer is attached to the desktop pc. I
would like to share the printer for my notebook use. Currently, I do not
have any network between two pcs but have an AP with 4-port switch for
sharing the internet connection. The desktop pc is connected to the Rj-45
port and the notebook is connected to AP using a Wi-fi pc card. Can someone
advise how to share the printer to the notebook pc use.

Thanks,

Ray

If both computers are on the same access point, they can be networked. Make
sure the workgroup name is the same, make sure you can ping each computer's
IP address from the other, then make sure you can ping each computer by name
from the other. Share the printer on the desktop, create a user account that
matches the one you use for WinME (even if it's default, with no password)
and see if you can connect to the printer....
