I just shared some folders on a XP HE box. My intent is to share them on
the LAN only - they're not to be accessible from the Internet. I'm a
little leary because the Wizard or whatever it is didn't ask me to define
the LAN in any way whatsoever.
Is it possible I'm sharing folders on the 'Net? The XP has a
non-routable address.
My home network is RR cable, Slackware router, 2 XP HE, 2 Win98, a
Slackware desktop and a FreeBSD desktop. The router has packet filtering
that allows only http, smtp and ssh SYN connections, but all ACK
connections.
Thanks in advance.
