I found the Microsoft article (328065) that talkes about
this. Basically if you setup sharing under the Properties
dialog box, then it gives everyone read-only permissions.
I am also assuming that this is what is setting the Read-
Only box when you go to Properties. This is suppose to be
corrected by using the New File Share Wizard.
My question are:
1) Does the Read-Only box get checked because of the way
sharing was originally setup?
2) How do you correct it once it is setup this way?
I am needing to share the root of the C drive with a name
so that it can be seen on the network.
Thank you in advance, any help will be gladly appreciated,
