Share names

Hi, I'm a relative network newbie, so I hope this question won't offend.
I've established a home network which has worked well for some time.
Recently I used Partition Magic on the main PC to reorganise partitions and
divide the drive up more logically (for me anyway!).

Whilst my network still operates, I don't see the new setup with the correct
Drive names. The old names have been retained -even though the
configuration of the drives has been changed completely. When I browse to
the (newly resized and renamed) drive in Explorer, the new name is displayed
clearly within the My Computer section, but when I drill down via Entire
Network, near the bottom of the Explorer folder pane, the old names are
there. All the drives are shared at their root (I know, I know...) and if I
right click them to check the Sharing tab, then the old 'Share Name' is in
there. Whilst I can select all or part of that share name, I can't do
anything to edit or change it in any way. Delete or backspace keys have no
impact!

So, I suppose what I'm asking is, how can I edit the share name of a
prticular drive, on the machine on which it resides, and see that name
across the network.

I should say of course that I can workaround this, by allocating a
meaningful name on the 'other' pc, even though its pointing to a drive with
a completely different name!

I thought networking was supposed to be easy in XP - I have ProSP2 on both
machines.
Thanks for being there.

Un-share the drive, then re-share it with the desired name.
