Shapes, lines disappear in PPT 2003 SP3

I have the problem that after using a new template installed recently for a
while PowerPoint starts to suffer from some memory insufficiency and all
lines and outlines are not displayed anymore, also some pictures become
invisible. The only way to fix it to remove all add-ins and re-install them
again. But the add-ins worked with the previous version of the template and
we only changed the code in the way that it uses blue instead of black, etc.
Might this be a problem of the template or the add-in?

In addition to Glenna's suggestion -- which will help weed out the woolies
in a file -- also try changing your hardware acceleration (probably
downward).

Oh, and Office 2003 is only up to SP2, so you might want to double-check to
make sure you actually have
SP2 installed.

Office 2000 is up to SP3.
