Hi all

I am using Excel 2K SP3 with Win XP pro SP2.

I noticed that the shape of the cursor does not change when I move it over a
command button. This only occurs on the second monitor, on the primary one
everything is ok. Any clues or solutions to this problem? Does anybody know
if this problem is solved in later Excel versions?

Thanks
Herb

Herb,

With a Radeon 7500 dual monitor card, and Excel 2002, The mouse turns into
an arrow when over a command button. But if one Excel window (in one
monotor) is active, and I move to the other, it's an arrow whether I'm over
cells or over a command button. Once I've made that window active, I get
the usual cross over cells, and an arrow over the command button. Same for
either monitor. You don't say whether you're running separate instances of
Excel in each, or one instance spread across, with document windows in each
monitor. I get the same results either way,

Thanks Earl for your explanation. So now I know that in Excel 2002 the
problem does not exist.
I am using a Radeon X800 XT, but I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with
the graphics card.
