SFC ScanNow Help Question?

I run the SFC scannow command and it keeps asking me for the windows
install disk. That's fine I know it is supposed to be in the drive.

Here is the Problem Some how the below registry entries get deleted.
To day makes the 3rd time it has done it. My question does anyone know
HOW or WHY this happening

If XP repeatedly asks that the disk be inserted - even though it already
is - open the registry editor and find the SOURCEPATH entry. Point it to
the CD drive used to install XP. Here it's simply H:\

That did not answer my question and that is WHY or WHAT that keeps
deleting the above code from the registry.
I have a regedit 4 file that I can merge when it happens but it is a
pain to start a SFC Scan and have to stop and fix the registry.
