Severe Lag, need help

I have a severe lag within my XP machine. When I open
some programs, it may take as long as several minutes for
the program to start. It shows up in task manager as a
running process, but doesn't show as an application untill
it finally opens several minutes later. I've checked the
priorities of all the software and processes I can find
and none are running in real-time. I hope someone has
some help, I've posted several times, got one response but
no joy. Thanks!!

Had did a virus scan Latly? Sound like you could have a

Trojan, Worm or Virus..... Just one possiblity.. try the
easy things first....See Ya....
