Several occurrences of TASK MANAGER running

Running Windows XP Pro. When I open Task Manager, there
are several occurrences of TASK MANAGER running. The
more I End Process, the more occurrences open. I have
seen up to 21 occurrences running at a given time.
Actually slowing my system down.

What does a scan with your current antivirus program (using updated
definitions) show?
