Have a client and due to the wonderful act of their not having upgrade
advantage, they have had to purchase xp oem cd's and then have the SA added
to these.
they have begun setting up the xp pro installs today and have created
something that I need help in working them through.
1 partition c: approx 19gb
has both the win 2000 os and win xp pro os installed
when boots up gets a choice to boot from either os
what steps to remove the win 2000 os install and of course leave the xp pro
os intact
she states that she cannot remove the old partition and set up a new one
during install and I plan to walk her through this process on the phone this
afternoon. I think that maybe the problem stems from her running the
install from the cd within windows 2000. i shall try having her boot from
the oem cd and starting setup to see if we can delete the old partition and
do a new clean install of xp.
TIA
