Hello

I was wondering if anybody could help me setup my windows mail account. I
get stuck when I get to the question that asks for the POP3 or IMAP
information? Why is this so tricky?

The answers depend on who your email provider is. Most users choose their
internet providers as their email providers also, since most internet
providers
include an email account with each internet account. Ask your email
provider
for their instructions for setting up to use their email servers. If they
haven't
written instructions for Windows Mail yet, their instructions for Outlook
Express should also work under Windows Mail as long as they don't call
for using the HTTP protocol. The instructions should be available somewhere
on their web site. Or, you could tell us who your email provider is and see
if
anyone here already knows where to find their instructions.

The e-mail provider that I use is G-Mail.

Nothing tricky about it... you just have to tell it what servers to access
your email on, same as you did with Outlook Express, etc. on XP.

Who provides your email address? Go to their website, they should have a
help page for setting up OE, if not WM.. the instructions are the same.

Keep in mind that WM cannot access webmail.
