Please help!

We live in Spain and recently bought a new computer. The
guys who installed it chose Spanish as the setup language
and we have no idea how to change it to English. We went
through control panel in safe mode to try and uninstall
then reinstall Windows XP, with no success. We don't have
the start up disk and Windows XP didn't even appear in
the list of programs. What do we do? Is there anything we
can download?

Also none of the keys on the keyboard (apart from the
letters) type out the right symobols. As we can't
understand the help package we're stuck on this too.

Any suggestions appreciated!

I would suggest you take your new computer back to the store and
have them replace the Spanish version of Windows XP with the
English version of Windows XP.

Windows XP is written in specific language versions, therefore one
cannot change it from one language version to another. You'll need
to purchase a "Full Version" of Windows XP in the language version
you desire, reformat your drive and install it "clean".

Or if you have an available empty drive or partition, you can install
another "Full Version" of Windows XP in a different language version
and create a dual-boot configuration.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.
