Setup fails

I am installing Win XP Pro, on a system I have just
built. I get up to the screen where it starts to load the
files, the one with the 5 squares in the bottom right,
and I get a fatal error, a componant setup need is not
available. And the system stops here. can anybody shed
any light on this. It is a standard system, Athlon XP
CPU, 512DDr Mem, AGP card. All I can think of is when
installing I have a PS2 keyboard but a USB mouse. Would
this cause these problems, or is there a KB article on
this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello
Sounds like a Ram issue.
Is your ram 1 or 2 sticks, if 2 is it a match set?
XP is very ram friendly but at the same time it is also very picky.
