I have this network, its kind of my first netwok, 6 Pc's ok, 4 with windows
Xp 2 with Winme, and the thing is that is setup like this a ethernet hub
trendnet Te100-s8p, and a modem tew-230apb, The First thing i did was to try
to set up 2 PC with winxp, using the wizard andthen try to set up the rest of
them.

So far the only thing did was share the internet connection, but no network
to share files a,d printers. PLEASE Help me HOW can I set it up RIGHT????

I know this sounds like an 'easy out' answer, but I think may will agree
with me....

Don't even try to do any of this with Windows ME. It's networking functions
have proven to be horribly incompatible with most other Windows O/S's. Even
many current textbooks on the subject - their ONLY suggestion for
troubleshooting WinME problems is to upgrade to Win2000 or Windows XP.

Even Microsoft staff 'unofficially' scowls at WinME. It is a horrible
product, and I don't even think it is supported any more. My recommendation
to you would be to see if you can get your network set-up between the
Windows XP devices first, and then see just what functions you can enable on
the Windows ME boxes if you absolutely can not upgrade them.

Good Luck.

Help & Support was the only place I needed to go to find the answers for
these questions.
The only really right way is the way that you wish it to be.
