Hallo

I hope some on can help me i have installed the IIS part of windows XP and i
setup a website on it and it works fine but to access it the other people in
my company need to know the machine name for it. So what i would like to do
is setup an easy URL for the people to use. Is this possible and if so how

Any help would be great
Regards

The easiest way I can think of right off the top of my head would be to put
an alias record in your company DNS server with a "friendly" name that
points to your computer. Then users could access the web site using:

http://friendlyname/

instead of:

http://yourcomputername/

Sorry, you need to do this with the cooperation of your company's IT staff.
