I am setting up XP for myself, my wife and children.

I am going to create a user profile for each of us so that we can have a
customized look, and set the admin account to classic view (so that it is
significantly different from the others)

We use Outlook Express for e-mail, and all need access to the same 'dbx'
files. All of our documents are in folders on the 'D' partition, and we all
need access to those as well. How do I make these files and folders
available to all profiles?

What is the easiest way to add new shortcut icons to each profile (I will be
installing them from the admin profile)? Can I do it globally?

Move your Outlook Express files to "D:\EMail", then start OE
under each account and tell it that this is where your
"Store Folder" resides. If you need any assistance with this step
then you should post your query in an Outlook Express newsgroup.

When you place a shortcut into "c:\documents and settings\all users"
then it will be visible to everyone.

Is it safe to assume that each profile I create will have it's settings in
"c:\documents and settings\profilename"?
