This is what I want to do, but was unable to. I want to
have all my Windows Explorer views set to DETAILS except
the MY PICTURES, MY VIDEOS folders and a folder where I
keep pictures where I want to have them opened in
THUMBNAIL view. I used TOOLS/FOLDER OPTIONS/VIEW TAB/APPLY
ALL to set one way or the other.

I was able to set one way or the other, but not in
this "mix" mode.

Can it be done? How?

Thanks.

I think you may also need to have the 'Remember each folder's view
setting' checked. It is in the list under the <Apply to All Folders>
button.

The Apply to all is a global affair. So you need to set it for the type
of view you want for general folders, then go to those specific folders,
set then up individually and close them. Make sure that Folder Options
- View is set to 'remember each folder's view settings'
