Setting up multiple workgroups for same computer

I'm trying to set up some computers at my workplace to be able to share files
at different levels. e.g. Three computers should be able to share files among
themselves, as one workgroup, and more computers should be able to share
files with each of the original three, but with different wokgroups.

In other words, can a single computer be set up with 2 or more workgroup
names?

No. A computer can belong to only one workgroup (or domain) at any
given time. Is there any reason why you can't you WinXP's built-in file
permissions to "... share files at different levels...?" That's one of
the things the file system was specifically designed to do.

Please avoid doing this in the future. It's very confusing.

The reason you're having such problems is that you are using the web
interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most
error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader,
such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows. See

What is Windows defender,

See http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

and what is Virtumonde G ?

It's a virus.
