I'm using Outlook 2000 and have added a few email address to my account for
my wife and kid.

I want to seperate the email accounts so that when you open Outlook you can
choose which email account you want to log into with different inboxes,
outboxes, etc.

Right now, it's all just jumbled into one and the only thing you can do is
pick which account you want to send the email from.

I just can't seem to figure out how to do it, in Outlook express I used to
use different "identities" if I remember correctly, but that doesn't seem
to be available in Outlook. Can anyone help me out?

Can you setup different users on the computer at the operating system level
so that each of you logs into the machine with your own user name? That's
probably the best way to deal with multiple users on one machine

Is your OL 2000 installed in Internet Mail Only mode or in
Corporate/Workgroup mode? Help>About will tell you.

I had it in Internet Mail Only mode but I just changed to
Corporate/Workgroup mode and got it to log in with different users. I can't
seem to seperate the inboxes, outboxes, however. Also, all the email I had
saved before disappeared when I switched to Workgroup mode! Any idea how
to get it back?

I figured it all out after switching to Workgroup mode (and retrieved my
old emails). If anyone knows if there is a quick way to switch between the
e-mail accounts without having to exit and then reenter Outlook it would be
greatly appreciated . . .

There is not.
