Hi everyone,

I'm sorry if this question's been asked before, but I really didn'
find an answer, even after a two hour search.

I have been using Outlook express up 'till now and I want to star
using Outlook. Now then, I have an Imap mail account and in Outloo
express I can set my account to automatically jump to my Imap inbo
when I start the program and to automatically remove emails from th
server when I delete them, now every mail that I delete is marked by
line through the subject but they're not effectively removed, you kno
what I mean. I can't seem to find those options in Outlook and I'
hoping someone here can help me. So to put it all in a nutshell, what
want is for my IMAP inbox to be shown when I start Outlook and mai
that I deleted to be removed from the server automatically

Hi again, I noticed that, with all the new posts, my thread had bee
pushed waaaaay back, so I thought I'd just let everybody know I stil
need help with this problem

To start up in your IMAP inbox go to Tools Options Others then
Advanced Options, from here you should be able to set what folder you
want Outlook to start up in.

As for automatically deleting emails when you exit i dont think you
can, searched for a while and was getting nowhere, so I have got "Hide
Messages Marked for Deletion" in the Advanced toolbar selected and
added a "Purge Deleted Items" button to the starndard tool bar.

Hope this is of some help
