Hi
i recently repaired my windows xp using the boot cd and
everything was ok until i tried to create my dial up
connection...

i went to Network Connections and clicked on 'Create a
new connection' and selected 'set up my connection
manually' and i found that 'connect using a dial up
modem' was shaded out, so i cant create my dial up
account...
I heard it was something to do with a service.

does anyone know how to fix this problem?

thanks in advance
p.s please email me the soloution

This is the problem...

You Cannot Create a Network Connection After You Restore Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;329441

And you need to re-apply SP1 to fix it.
