I want to create an internal domain for learning purposes. When I create the
domain name is it ok if it matches the domain name I registered with ICANN?
What problems might it cause me?

As long as you are on a private subnet, it usually doesn't cause any
problems as long as you remember to create records for any external
resources (hosted www or mail.) Just remember, most Active Directory
problems for new administrators are caused by improperly setup internal DNS
servers.

if they are the same, for example, icann.com, yoou may need to modify the internal DNS. In many cases, people will use icann.local instead of icann.com.
