Hello,

We cannot change our homepage back to its default. My 15
year downloaded games on the computer 2 weeks ago. Now
everytime we open up IE....the homepage is set to
about:blank which has sexual explicit contents. I have
tired over and over to reset the homepage but it doesn't
work. I have deleted all cookies and temporary files
associated with date my son was on the computer...but
nothing works.

Please help. I have also ran the virus scan and see no
virus. I believe that spyware or something is the culprit.

Hi,

Check out the following to get rid of your problem.

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG
After downloading it, right click it and choose Merge.

Download/run Cool Web Shredder from
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

For Info on Cool Web Search Variants
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html

Download/install/run Ad-Aware from
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
This will detect any spyware on your system. When you run Ad-Aware, click on
the ref update to get the latest up-to-date ref file, run Ad-Aware and
delete everything it finds.

Sathyavs,

I did all of this and it still does not work. The problem
is still here. I cannot reset my home page.

I am having the same problem. I've tried all of that as
well and my problem hasn't been fixed either

I had a similar problem a few days ago. I had a homepage
hijacker called CoolWebSearch. My McAfee antivirus and
antispyware couldn't touch it. I found help and a
solution at amazingtechs.com. click on forums, then
antispyware, and post a message there. There is no
charge and these folks are honest and extremely helpful.
