Setting Default Profile No Longer Working...Why???

I used to be able to setup Default Profiles for new users using the
process described in Microsoft's KB Article 319974
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319974). I have been doing this for a
couple years now.

But recently, this process is not working. I don't know what happeded,
but I cannot get this to work. What I have found is that if I don't
use SysPrep, it works, but if I use SysPrep, it does not. The problem
is, is that it used to work after SysPrep.

I am making images for new pc's to be used in my business and would
really like to get this figured out. I have not been able to get this
working at all in the past month or two. I don't know if Microsoft
pushed down an update that "broke" this process or what. All I know is
that it USED to work, but does NOT now.

Please help!!!

Changes in sysprep for XP SP2 now copies the admin-profile to the
default user profile during sysprep mini-setup. If you would like the
old sysprep behaviour you can request a hotfix for rhis.

Changes in behavior of the SysPrep and RIPREP tools after you install
Windows XP Service Pack 2

Hello Johan,
It's actually changes in SP2 that enable this. The changes are not in
sysprep itself.
Using an older version of sysprep for example would not resolve the issue.
SP2 was fixed so this started working the way it was intended to be working.
Sysprep just exposes the change.
Thanks,
