Setting an unbound field

I have a report. I need to be able to evaluate a table field to populate an
unbound field on that report. Is there a way to use an expression as the
control source for the unbound field.

For example, =If TableFieldA = 'yes',TableFieldB.value,'approved')

Am I going in the right direction? I can't get it to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Peter,
Am I going in the right direction?

Yes. The easiest way to achieve your goal is to use a domain aggregrate
function. Take a look at this page and see if the examples given for DLookup
are helpful. The other domain aggregrate functions, such as DMax, DMin,
DCount, etc. will be similar.
