I want to set folder views to "Details" for all folders. There's only one I
prefer as Icons and that's Control Panel. It's been bugging me for a long
time because I've searched help and got no where.

Hi,

Open one instance of Windows Explorer, set it up the way you like. Click
tools/folder options, and on the view tab click on 'apply to all folders'.
Also make sure that 'remember each folder's view settings' is enabled.
Apply/ok your way out, then close Windows Explorer. This should reset the
view to your preferred settings. You can now open the Control Panel and set
it back to icon view, and it should not affect other folders.

Just the job. Another mistery sorted... :-)

Thanks
