It should do that already; it's not even a setting. Taking focus issues are
most often caused by your videocard driver. Update to the latest version or
rollback to the previous version if you are already running the latest
version.

Roady: In my experience, the function works great for OL2003 on
win2000 pro - but once you get to WinXP, IF the reminder box is
already open (LOL - yeah, mine is always opened first thing every day
with crap I'll never get around to), when a NEW reminder is due, it
simply "flashes", begging for attention on the taskbar.

Now, if you don't have multiple messages and/or the reminder
notification isn't already open, it WILL get the focus and pop-up.

I've never taken the time to actually change video drivers, but I have
seen the exact behavior described by the OP on quite a few different
pc's with different video cards/drivers, all running Win XP.

At least, that's how it works in my world...

i don't have reminders greeting me at boot. i do use xp pro. the reminders
do flash in the taskbar, but that doesn't seem to be enough my attention. i
need for it to come right up in front and block whatever i am looking at. i
had tried updating my driver in the past but it was then causing problems
with other programs and i rolled it back. i may try it again, but it is
sounding like it may be another outlook feature that doesn't work quite
right.

perhaps someone will offer another suggestion for us.

i did the nvidia update from ms website. it did not affect reminder "taking
focus".
