Is there a way to set a password for the entire Notes
folder in Outlook 2003?

If not, how do I set passwords for each individual Note?

I may have found a way to password protect sensitive Outlook Notes!

It requires a couple of steps to protect them, and a couple more t
read them. Essentially, you export to an encrypted, password-protecte
.pst file, and import the Notes when you want to read them. If you'r
willing to do that, follow steps 1-7, below.

1. Create a folder below Notes for Secure Notes, call it "Secure."

2. Move your sensitive Notes into that sub-folder.

3. Use File/Export to create an encrypted and password-protecte
Personal (.pst) file.

4. Delete the contents of the sub-folder after you've exported th
contents to the .pst file.

5. When you want to view the encrypted, password-protected Notes, mak
the "Secure" sub-folder active, then use File/Import to import th
Notes into the active folder.

6. You can now view the Notes without password protection.

7. Remember to delete the contents of the "Secure" folder when you'v
finished viewing the Notes
