set default tabs

I set a tab at 7.5", right alignment, click set, then I
set the default tab stop at 0", then I click OK. When I
go to use the custom set tab the tab key only moves
slightly. When I check the default tab it is at .01".
Every time I set it back to 0" it automaticly resets
itself to .01" after I close the tab box. How do I fix
this?

What are the minimum margins for the printer? It sounds like they are at
least .01"
