set default for Windows Explorer View

All I want to do is change the default so that the List
View of files is what I always get when I go to Windows
Explorer. As it is now, the icons are the default and I
have to change it each and every time. I know this is
something simple, but as so often is the case, the Help
search screen can't understand my question (ever
experience that?). If something would email me the
answer, I'd very much appreciate it - (e-mail address removed)
 
Hi Phil,
Open explorer and configure it the way you want to see it.
(List View) Then go to the tools menu and select folder
options, the folder options dialog box will open. Select
the View tab. "Under Folder views" select the
button "Like Current Folder". Apply then close. Next
close your explorer window and reopen. Every explore
window will now have these settings. Hope this helps.
