Services Problem

I can't install any AV or Firewall on my system beacuse winxp doesn't allow their services to run or install. HELP ME what is the matter with it?

I have installed XP SP1a another time and it is just the same
 
did you pay much for the av and firewall? if its just a download, try a
different brand of software. xp already has a built in firewall so enable
that first then you only need to look around for some decent antivirus,
plenty around.
