when i run msconfig and go to services, and scroll down to windows management
instrumentation, the status is stopped. can anyone tell me how to get this
to running? i also believe this is what is causing my advanced tab in my
network connections to not show my any info about my connections. error
message states that my wmi software may be corrupted or missing or something
like that. Can anyone offer any suggestion about this? Thanks, Paul

Go to admin tools\services open the properities of WMI and select automatic.

ok. I found this area and made sure that it is set to automatic. however,
it still does not work. also while in this screen, it says that it is
stopped. i tried to start this service from that screen and it will not
run... is there anythhing else i can look for to solve this problem or can it
be reinstalled from the windows cd.

thanks again for your reply.

Paul
