This is very irritating....
When I shut down windows takes several minutes to close...
Because of this I use a tweaking utility called x-setup that you can change
the timeout
of the services so they terminate when you are closing the computer.
Now the DEFAULT time for this by windows is 20 seconds.
HOWEVER some program (perhaps vmware server?) goes and changes that
setting to 190 seconds! Thats 3 mins!
So windows waits and waits.... When I go back to x-setup I set it to 5
seconds..
its ok for some time.. then after a few restarts.. the setting goes back to
190 seconds!!!
Its like im fighting with some program that resets the value to 190.. but I
have no clue what program
this is or how I can change it so it will stick to 5 and remain there.
Does anyone know what I can do about this? Its very irritating and I have to
wait too long for
restarts.....
Please assist me ... thanks
