service patch 821557

Has anyone experinced system freezes after installing
service patch kb821557? It would lock my system after right
mouse clicking on any icon. Had to uninstall. Does this
patch only effect service pack 1 or does it also affect 2?

i have had the same problem - see my post earlier

today. i have not been able to pin point the problem -
when exactly did you install the svc patch? how long did
you leave it before you uninstalled it? i installed on
07.25, everything was fine, but the last week, it freezes
up 4-5- times a day. no-one has responded to my post
