Service Patch 1A Download Question

I am curious to know if I can download the service patch
to a CD that can be used on another computer that has a
problem already. That problem is that it will not reboot
and I have a blue screen with UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME,
STOP 000000ED and from research found that Microsoft has
a download and a CD that can be purchased. Well my
problem is that I really would like download it to a CD
and install it instead of buying the CD that is the same
as the download. It is a cost and time issue for me.
Thanks for your insights and recommendations.
 
You can downlaod the network version and then burn it to a cd. It will be a
large download however.
