Two, Do I SERIOUSLY need to install it?
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

A Service Pack (more commonly, SP) is a software program that corrects known
bugs, problems, or adds new features.

Since there are no service packs for Vista, no, you don't need to install
it.

A service pack is Microsoft's way of "fixing" what may have been
buggy, a security risk or just a change or improvement in some system
files, ususally a collection of all of the above and then some.
Two, Do I SERIOUSLY need to install it?

You should. Download from Microsoft's site. Because this will change
many files and can take awhile to install and make changes to the
Registry BE SURE you have good current backups just in case something
bad happens during the process.

There are no service packs for Vista... yet. Two major ones for XP.

A service pack is a collection of fixes for a certain program. Sometimes, as
in the case of Windows XP, it can give extra features (Security Center,
Firewall, etc. on XP SP2).

If you are referring to Vista, then there are no service packs available,
only certain hot fixes (individual fixes). If it is another program that has
a service pack, then yes it is highly recommended to download and install
it. It can fix bugs, security holes and sometimes give you extra features
and usability or performance.

thanks guys for your help!!
