I went to Microsoft to download the XP upgrade. Problem
is I have a Dell computer. I started downloading the
service pack.. Everything but 2 security files
downloaded. Big mistake...I turned my computer off
because I couldn't access the 2 pages of the security
files. When I turned the computer back on I got a message
saying "The procedure entry port AssocIsDangerous could
not be located in dynamice link library SHLWAPI.dll. Then
another screen comes up saying "The logon interface
DLLmsgina.dll failed to load." Does anyone know how I can
access the hard drive to back up my files? I can't even
get into DOS at this point. Thanks? Dell says they will
help me do a "clean-up" but will not tell me the way to
back up my files before doing the cleanup.

Hi,

This error is generally from a bad install/burn of SP1. The only workaround
is doing a repair install of XP.
