I installed this RC2 on my Windows XP Because my Cable ISP
said it was necessary for me to resolve my internet
problems. When the XP SP2 Preview came out...I tried
installing but there is an error message that says: "You
need to remove the previous verson of the service pack".
I tried looking for the uninstall on the add & remove
programs & the system restore but for some reason I think
it was removed because I was emptying space for my hard
drive... Is there anyway to uninstall the XP RC2?

Hi, jeez isn't it simpler to answer the person question instead of
redirecting them? All you need to do is go to add/remove and tick where it
says show updates. Now sp2 will show up and you should be able to uninstall
it.....

That only works if the user chose to create backup files when they installed
SP2.

Posters have the best chance of finding the information they need if they
ask their question in the most appropriate newsgroup. As demonstrated by
your post.

Chris;
Redirect to the proper newsgroup is usually appropriate.
That was an appropriate redirect.
There is certainly no reason for you to chide them for the appropriate
post.

This is not the Windows Update or SP 2 newsgroup.
Either of those would have been more appropriate than this newsgroup.
You also assume the correct answer is known.
Sometimes the correct answer is not known but redirecting to the
proper newsgroup will facilitate the correct answer.
If a follow up is needed, the correct newsgroup is known.
It is possible the OP was unaware of the SP 2 newsgroups and now has a
source for information dealing specifically with the Beta installed.
