On updating Windows Xp with service pack 2,
it takes over 2 minutes for the system to boot up. Previously, It was taking
a max of 30 seconds.

Why is this happening?

I have seen it written that SP2 has less compatibility for older hardware,
but much better security features. Check for driver updates, it sounds like
a driver issue or 3rd party software incompatibility.

I have found a very good freeware tool "aida 32" it shows everything even
serials...you can get it from majorgeeks.com.

Thank You

Run the disk defragmenter, when you installed the updates, likely th
drive was fragmented
