I have installed service pack 2 and had nothing but problems, My computer (
athlon XP2200+ 1.80 GHz 768 of RAM) It has been so bad
I have had to wipe C drive(my windows drive) and reinstall XP Pro.
This is what has been going on once I have installed serv pack2 my computer
reboots it then checks C drive and truns alot of entries in documents and
settings it then takes about 4 minsto get to the blue welcome screen after 30
seconds it goes to my desktop and reboots all over agin, I dont get any Error
messages

it has been suggested that I should do the following, Run diags on your
drives + hardware, check bios version, and give it another format + install.
but, I dont know what run diags is and how to check my bios version
can anyone help me please????? sorry Im a bit thick

diags - diagnostic programs. It's pretty clear from your description of the
problems you are having with a clean XP install that you have a hardware or
driver fault of some kind.
