Help ! i just recently upgraded my mobo and cpu. and when i tried to reboot
it would only let me use safe mode. so i unistalled service pack 2 and now
windows works fine . but when i try to redownload serv pack 2 . it goes back
to the same problem of only allowing me into safe mode. i don't want to
reinstall a fresh copy of windows and lose everything AGAIN. so if anyone can
offer some help on waht to do or on how to transfer my files correctly to
another drive on my system. so they still will be accessable i would be in
your debt . thanks

Try updating the BIOS on the "new" MBD.
Files are easy to copy to another HD. Problems occur with applications and
the registry. If you need to "run" applications from another HD, you may
need to install them on that HD.

Before you install SP2,one should go to run, type:cmd In cmd type:
CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,then type:EXIT Then install SP2

thanks chuck. i have done all the updates possible to both the mobo and cpu
, graphics card, etc..
