Server Timeout Settings

I am having trouble sending a large attachment. I am trying to increase the
server timeout settings from the default 1 minute to 10 minutes, but every
time I do this, Outlook doesn't save the setting or change the value.

Every time I check again, it is back to 1 minute!!

Anybody know how to overcome this?

I am using Outlook 2003 on XP Pro SP2.

Do you have any internet security product installed that can scan outbound
e-mail? If yes, you may have to disable this.

You also might want to double check your connection since an earlier post
this month indicated that those that use a Wireless G card to connect to a
Wireless B Access Point might also cause the inability to send.

Last but not least, if you use a router that lets you share a broadband
connection with many machines and you PC is attached to attached to it via
an ethernet cord, you might want to double check your MTU settings. For
example, if you have a DSL connection that requires you to authenticate
before you can surf, then you need to lower the MTU in Windows to 1492.

It's definitely the server timeout settings - my problem is that Outlook
does not want to change when I change the settings & hit ok - I cannot
permanently change the value to 10 minutes - it always stays at 1 minute -
how do I change it to 10?

Cheers
