I cant connect to any servers, surfing web is fine. i
have turned off main firewall and still is same. can ne1
help?

Could you give us more details about the problem? How are you trying to
connect to the servers? Where are they and where is the XP client? Can you
ping the servers by IP address? Can you ping them by name? Are you in a
domain or workgroup? Can any client connect to them?

It wont connect to any server, such as online gaming, its
as if something is blocking the connection. I did some
tests with blueyonder tech suport by pinging server, and
he said the prob was between the modem and comp. We
pinged the ip and it came back on 2 tests with 4 test
errors.

When we pinged the ip out of 4tests 2 came back with
errors with 4 errors on each 1 saying that 4 lost on
both. i am not in a domain or workgroup, just normal home
useage

try using pathping or tracert to see where the packets
are being dropped or overly delayed.
