Server Disk? 16 bit DOS subsystem conflict thingy.

I'm trying to install the software belonging to an oldish Olympus
digital camera. The disk is for Windows 95/8 but my OS is 2K [with NT
but I can't tell you much about that - this is a stand alone PC I got
from work].

So when I try to run the software I get the subsystem error.

Having looked about for a solution, I found this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=305521

It is exactly my issue but it requires a 'server disk' to rectify the
problem, something I do not have.

I have tried installing more recent drivers directly from the Olympus
site but had no luck.

Any ideas how a stand alone user goes about rectifying this issue?

Thanks,

P.

Follow the same procedure but use your Windows 2000 disk. They're the
same files as the server disk files.

If that works I'm going to feel like a right spanner.

Oh it will work... or it should if you made the proper diagnostics to
the problem.

I can't even get passed the first command. I put the install disk in
then, at the command prompt ['c:\' not 'documents & settings: Admin' -
which didn't work either, I type:

expand d:\i386\config.nt_c:\WINNT\system32\config.nt

When I hit enter the message in the DOS window says:

No destination specified for: d:\i386\config.nt_c:\WINNT\system32\config.nt

Space missing. I can see that now. Doh.
Try again.
