Server 480

What is Server 480? When I try to update newsgroups through Agent 3.32 I get
a message that Server 480 needs authentication.

How would this be done?

I have Windows XP Pro w/ SP2.

The error you gave seems to be misquoted (either by you or on the FAQ page
for Agent)...

This *is* an error generated by Agent - thus you should look at their
support...

Error reported by server: 480: Authentication required

This is similar to the 502 error.

This error means that your news server requires you to provide
authentication. You need to check with your service provider to find out
exactly what is required. In most cases, you need to supply the server a
user name and password. Once you get this information from your provider,
you can enter it via Tools | Servers And Accounts, and selecting the server
in question.
