after installing sevice pack 2 - I got the message
"reinstall the easy access buttons" - the computer on start
up is totally used by STARTEAK.exe untill I stop it with
"end task" in task manager. I figure I'd search for
STARTEAK - but I click on start then search - the start
menu disapears but search doesn't come up - same with help
and support - I click on start then click on help and
support - the start menu disapears and... nothing - will
not work. after the computer starts up and I end task on
STARTEAK (the computer is really to slow to do anything on
untill I do this - 100% cpu usage) the bar at the bottom of
the screen (start bar?) is (minimized?) at the bottom - I
can't drag it up - the only way to get to it is to add
something to it (right click at bottom on thin blue line
the click on toolbars, new toolbar, then browse and add
anything to it) once I do this then I can drag it up with
the mouse. also... yes there's more - my sound card isn't
working - I havn't even gotten around to trying to
reinstall it. a friend said that there is some kind of
"point" (I don't remember what it's called) that you can
"go back to" (before the service pack 2 was installed) but
the only way to do this is through "help and support"
-which is not working. other than "help and support", and
"search" I don't know that anything else is messed up (if I
can reinstall my sound card) I can get on the internet etc.
but I don't know if anything else is messed up - I just
wish I could undo the service pack - it's not right, and I
don't know what the deal is with STATEAK.exe --thank you
for any help you can give -I'm at a loss.
